Cloud Gate
Syneto services come to the cloud
Together with hyperconverged platforms that complement full data lifecycle management, Syneto is launching Cloud Gate: a new ecosystem element that secures data in the cloud. This ecosystem feature, designed for both end-users and resellers, allows data to be securely stored in the cloud, making it easy to replicate, save and restore data to and from any Syneto device.
Syneto Cloud Gate offers pay-as-you-go plans in increments of 1 TB of cloud storage, and all plans include best-in-class storage, security, isolation and no hidden download/upload fees.
“Our end users and resellers are at the heart of everything we do,” said Alessandro Freddi, VP Sales at Syneto. “We designed Syneto Cloud Gate to offer them a seamless and secure data management experience, just like Apple’s iCloud for iPhone users. It is the perfect solution for businesses and resellers looking for simplicity, security and efficiency in their data management processes.”
Recognising the challenges resellers face in building their cloud infrastructures due to the cost and expertise required, Syneto Cloud Gate offers resellers the opportunity to sell new types of architectures and solutions. This gives them access to new use cases, such as offsite data replication for disaster recovery and business continuity purposes.
Syneto Cloud Gate offers a number of competitive advantages:
Simplicity: The service is user-friendly and ready to use immediately after installation. Users and resellers can easily set up their Syneto appliances to replicate data by selecting a new replication destination.
Unified experience: Cloud Gate offers a consistent user interface for all its software, whether deployed on-premise or in the cloud. The familiar interface and features simplify on-boarding and use without any learning curve for both end-users and resellers.
Data protection: Leveraging SynetoOS filesystem technology, the cloud infrastructure offers the same data protection features as Syneto on-premises products, including integrity checking, always-on healing, mirrored storage infrastructure and delta-based incremental replication for storage efficiency.
Virtual Air Gap: The architecture provides complete isolation at the operating system level for each client environment, ensuring a secure network separation between clients. Each client connects privately to its own cloud environment, improving security for both end-users and resellers.
Faster recovery times: Syneto Cloud Gate’s native integration with reverse replication on Syneto appliances enables faster data recovery. In addition, the file-level restore functionality allows users to quickly and easily download specific files directly from the cloud.
Pricing model: Unlike other solutions that require complex calculations for cloud storage costs and VM licences, Syneto’s pricing model is simple. Users and resellers pay for capacity and can replicate as many VMs as they wish.
Bandwidth: advanced data replication technologies, such as incremental forever chains and always-on data compression, significantly reduce the bandwidth required for synchronisation. In addition, no data download fees are charged, resulting in significant savings compared to other cloud solutions.
“Syneto Cloud Gate is set to revolutionise the way businesses and resellers manage and protect their data. By offering a secure, simple and efficient data storage solution with a unified user experience, robust data protection and competitive pricing, Syneto Cloud Gate is setting the standard for the future of data management,” concludes Davide Ravasi, Country Manager Italy.
