Un\u2019infrastruttura definita dal software<\/strong> (software-defined infrastructure, SDI) \u00e8 un’infrastruttura IT in cui il software controlla l’hardware informatico. Questo tipo di sistema solitamente funzionava senza o con minimo intervento umano e a prescindere dalle dipendenze specifiche dell’hardware.<\/p>\n

La SDI pu\u00f2 anche essere definita come infrastruttura costituita da risorse di calcolo, di rete e di archiviazione completamente virtualizzate che possono essere gestite come se fossero un software. SDI, quindi, esiste grazie ai processi di virtualizzazione<\/em><\/a> e di creazione di macchine virtuali<\/em><\/a>. <\/p>\n
