SynetoOS: Continuous Authentication
The new frontier of Cybersecurity
Introduction
With the rise of cyber threats and the increasing sophistication of attacks, companies must adopt advanced security measures to protect their data and applications. Continuous Authentication is a new security feature included in the Syneto OS Security Pack. This technology represents a proactive approach to security, ensuring that only authorized users can perform certain operations
How it works
Continuous Authentication is based on an active monitoring system that analyzes user behavior. Unlike traditional forms of authentication, which only require an initial verification of credentials, Continuous Authentication assesses the user’s identity by verifying their authorization to perform a specific operation.
The benefits
- Protection Against Session Hijacking: It is particularly effective in preventing session hijacking, an attack where a malicious actor takes control of an active user session. By requiring authentication renewal, especially in combination with MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication), the system can block suspicious activities, reducing the risk of cyberattacks.
- Enhanced Security: By integrating Continuous Authentication into existing security practices, companies can significantly enhance the protection of their data and applications.
