Private Cloud.

A private cloud you control: one platform that runs your virtual machines, stores their data and protects it — from a single node to fully replicated datacentres, under one console.

The problem02
Chapter 01 · The problem

Higher expectations, smaller budgets.

Digital transformation has raised what every department expects from IT. Sales, production, finance and management now expect their applications to be fast, secure, compliant and available from anywhere — while every service that makes them available widens the attack surface, and budgets keep shrinking.

Most businesses answer with one of two architectures, and neither makes this easy.

The public cloud
  • The monthly cost is unpredictable — usage, traffic leaving the cloud, and price lists you do not set
  • Limited bandwidth can rule out entire workloads
  • Securing it well is specialist work — one misconfiguration can expose your data
  • Sovereignty of regulated data — think NIS2 — is hard to guarantee on infrastructure you do not control
Traditional 3-tier
  • Servers, storage network, backup and replication — each its own product and licence
  • Each layer needs its own specialist and its own training
  • Each product has its own upgrade cycle, its own downtime window and its own risk
  • Security gaps appear at the interfaces between products, where no one is clearly responsible

There is also the industry's baseline for keeping data safe, 3-2-1: three copies, on two kinds of storage, one of them in a different location. But the copies alone are not enough — what matters is where they sit: the copy that saves you is the one stored outside whatever just failed. If the architecture cannot place a copy on the safe side of each failure at a reasonable cost, 3-2-1 becomes very expensive.

Production
copy 1 — the data in use
Second system
copy 2 — different storage
Off-site copy
copy 3 — outside the building
Each copy survives a failure the previous one does not: a deleted file, a failed system, a lost room.

What a modern platform must deliver

Production-ready in under an hour — from power-on to running workloads, not a multi-week integration project.
A cost the business can plan — known when you sign the order, not discovered on the monthly bill.
Simple enough for the team you have — one console to learn, no specialist per layer.
Data protection built in — the platform itself makes the copies that 3-2-1 asks for, without a separate backup product.
Works with what you already have — it joins the environment you run today.

The Syneto approach03
Chapter 02 · The Syneto approach

HCI³: one system instead of three products.

Syneto OS is a universal, resilient data management platform with an HCI architecture — one system that runs the virtual machines, stores their data and protects that data, so protection and disaster recovery are not separate products you have to buy. It is the foundation for a private cloud: the benefits of the cloud, on infrastructure you own and control.

That one-system idea is hyperconvergence. Most platforms apply it only to the infrastructure; HCI³ applies it three times — to the infrastructure, to its protection, and to recovery from ransomware. Each of the three removes a product, a licence and an interface you would otherwise have to buy and manage.

The hypervisor is your choice: industry-standard VMware vSphere, or Hyperion, Syneto's KVM-based hypervisor. Both run on the same platform and are managed from the same console.

01

Infrastructure

Compute, storage and networking converge in one system under one console — your private cloud starts as one machine, not a rack of separate parts.

02

Protection

Backup and disaster recovery are native to that same system, not added later: Recovery Points — copies of your systems that cannot be altered — taken as often as every minute and kept without limit.

03

Ransomware recovery

Recovery from an attack runs in the same engine, not in a separate response tool — a history of Recovery Points the attack cannot touch, and a VM back in service in under 30 seconds.

A topology for every budget

Syneto OS also fits the budget you have today. You can start with one single node and grow, step by step, to multiple datacentres in multiple locations. Each step adds hardware to the one before it — never a new platform to buy, install and learn — and each step survives a bigger failure.

A few of the many possible deployment topologies: two nodes protecting each other; the same two nodes plus an off-site copy, safe if the room is lost; a datacentre replicating to a second one, safe if the whole site is lost.

Differentiators04
Chapter 03 · Differentiators

What sets the platform apart.

Syneto OS is one piece of software, not a bundle of separate products: the hypervisor, the file system that stores the data and the protection engine are delivered, installed and upgraded together — one purchase, one upgrade cycle, one vendor responsible for all of it.

Choose your hypervisor — or run both — VMware vSphere and Hyperion side by side on the same platform, managed from the same console, so a migration between them runs workload by workload, on your schedule.
Start at one node, grow into a datacentre — the platform you buy for a single node is the same one that later runs everything, with no move to a different product along the way.
Every new system starts protected — choosing a protection policy is part of creating a VM, and its storage and networking are set up with it, so nothing depends on someone remembering a later step.
Services come back in seconds, not after hours of restoring — a VM restarts directly from a Recovery Point; no long restore has to finish first.
Ready for AI projects — a virtual machine can use a GPU directly, so AI workloads run on the same platform instead of needing separate specialist infrastructure.
Appliance, your hardware, or software only — turnkey Syneto appliances, or Syneto OS installed on servers you choose and already trust.
The same platform in branch offices and at headquarters — a branch-office node runs the same software as the datacentre and is protected the same way, by the same people.
Everything in the datacentre managed in one place — every system, every copy and every protection policy, from one console.

Each of these differences is available in the platform today. Ask for a proof of concept and test them on your own workloads, next to the environment you already run.

For partners

A private cloud proposal usually means quoting several products and taking responsibility for the integration between them. With one platform the proposal is simpler: one quote, one integration, one product to support — from a single-node pilot to a replicated datacentre, without changing stack along the way. Syneto backs you throughout: hands-on help with proof-of-concepts, our customer success team alongside you during the assessment, and post-sales support from native speakers of your language.
